The Taklon synthetic fiber has medium hardness, excellent resistance, and good color retention capacity. This type of brushes is recommended for watercolor, tempera, gouache, or acrylic painting. They can also be used for oil painting, but the solvents used in this technique tend to alter this type of fiber over time.
